A blogger interview | Simply Lauren Elizabeth

Hello everyone! Today is finally the day that I can announce and begin the exciting project that I have been keeping a secret for a little while now.That project is a new collab series with my blogging buddy Lauren from Simply Lauren Elizabeth if you are not familiar with her blog then please please please go and take a peek - she has the best sense of humour and is the sweetest person ever.

Now I should probably tell you a little about this collab series that I am doing with the wonderful Lauren.It will take place every month on the last saturday.Today we are kicking the collab series off with a blogger interview/Q&A where I asked Lauren a few questions about blogging and ...disney..,we also did this on Lauren's blog - you can find that here if your interested.So without further ado here's Lauren:

Hello fellow Sophie Jane lovers! I've got my cup of tea, my fairy lights and my little cosy blanket, and I'm ready to get interviewed!

Who are you?

Well, I'm Lauren Elizabeth, I am the owner of the semi-anonymous (yes, that is a thing) blog 'simplylaurenelizabeth'! I guess I should tell you a little bit about myself as I'll be seeing you a lot over the next months. In short, I am your average teenage girl from England, experiencing lots of the things you are, and blogging them along the way!

Why did you start blogging? Who Inspired you?

Do I say that really cliché thing? That I was inspired by famous youtubers? Well I guess I have to, when I started my blog back in 2014 (and let me tell you, that was not a pretty sight) I did it because, after reading girl online I wanted to be as big and famous as penny... But that didn't really work out. I got bored of blogging and had nothing to write about. And then on my birthday in 2015 I decided to restart, and not to become rich and famous like Zoella or Tanya burr, not to get free products or amazing opportunities, but because I wanted confidence. I find typing a post about some lipsticks I like or some books I've read, and then reading your wonderful comments, I do gain that confidence, and I am so appreciative of that!

Where do you see your blog going?

I don't really know to be honest, anything could happen! I just hope I can keep it up for as long as I can while I still enjoy it, and hopefully working on exams won't take away all of my time.

Name some of your favourite bloggers, big and small!

Well, I've been reading Zoella's blog for a long time, and I've recently become obsessed with Tanya burr's. However, smaller bloggers, apart from you Sophie (wink wink, earring few friendship points here) my favourites are, Lauren from andlaurenanne , Abigail from abigailjessicax and Nicole from thrifty vintage! I really love their blogs and hope that all of these girls make it to the top!

What is your favourite thing about blogging?

I really love making things look pretty. I also love web design. So it's a win win, redesigning and revamping my blog's look is so much fun for me. Along with taking pictures in general!

How did we meet?

Well. I was scrolling through the the depths of Twitter, looking for new blogs to read, specifically using the hashtag #teenbloggers. That was when I came across 'Chattergirl', who I followed, then forgot about, and then continued on my search through the hashtag (sorry about that). A few months later I actually read her blog, and I loved it! So I sent a really awkward message to her on Twitter, and it went from there!

The Q&A questions

Describe yourself using one popular hashtag.

Okay, this was the question I came up with, for the simple reason that I could bring up the hashtag that was trending last week. (Prepare yourself) #nameyourbitsaftermaclipsticks. Is it really sad that I still find that funny? However, I would not describe myself using that hashtag, ha. I have to say the opposite of #LivingOnTheEdge, because I really don't, if that makes any sense at all. I would prefer to sit in my pyjamas by my radiator with some Ben and Jerrys, and watch a bit (a lot) of Netflix! Instead of, you know, climb a mountain or run a marathon.

If you could trade places with someone, who would it be and why?

Can I say Elana Gilbert? This is probably an extremely self centred, not-helping-the-word-in-any-way answer, but I'll go with it. I choose Elena from the vampire diaries, because you know, Damon, Stephan, baes. But without, you know, the whole, most-people-I-know-are-dead thing. I am such a terrible person aha. How about another answer, Tanya burr or Jennifer Lawrence. Again, not really helping anyone... Oops.

What is your favourite Disney movie? And who is your favourite character?

My favourite Disney movie has to be beauty and the beast! I just love it so very much! My favourite character is belle, for the simple reason that I think we would have an amazing book club. I also love rapunzle from tangled, I just think she's so adorable!

Name one thing off of your bucket list.

I don't have a physical list, I haven't even really got a mental list. One thing, would be to go to New York with my best friends for our birthdays, as two of us have birthdays really close together.

One place you would like to travel.

I want to go to New York in the future. But as of right now, I REALLY want to go to Scotland! I watched one of my favourite youtubers Scotland vlogs, and I absolutely fell in love with it! If I could go anywhere, even though it isn't very far away, it would definitely be Scotland!
