Last Christmas I got given an Elizabeth Arden Beautiful colour gift set by my sister,I had never heard of the brand before as I tend to stick to the ones I have always used.Inside the gift set was 4 or 5 lipsticks and of course being a self-confessed red lipstick lover (and hoarder) I straight away picked this one in the shade red door red.If you read my october favourites post you will of seen this in there and so I wanted to give you a review and to let you know why I love it so much.

Packaging:
I absolutely love the gold packaging this lipstick comes in,though I do believe that the packaging it came in was limited edition (I may be wrong) but you can still purchase the lipstick on their website and in store,it just looks a little different, but still super nice. The packaging feels of a really good quality and it would take a lot to break it.
Product:
The product, off the lip looks stunning. It has a very subtle sparkle and is a really pretty shade of red.On the lips it looks even better,it doesn't cover the colour of your lips, which matches the colour to the complexion a little better than a complete block lipstick otherwise would. This lipstick also doesn't have that horrible chalky taste of most lipsticks. It also contains lots of vitamins too,so it keeps your lips healthy at the same time.
(Apologies for my terrible swatching)
Application
This lipsticks glides on and seems to have a lot of similarities to a lipgloss.Re-application is as simple and easy as the initial application, but is very rarely necessary as this lipstick has an amazing wear time and one application can last me for at least half a day.
Overall I would rate this lipstick a 9/10 because the product itself is really amazing and I love it,but the price is a little expensive (at around £21) to be using it for everyday. But if you're looking for a good high end lipstick then I recommend this for you.
